School Psychologist

 Job Title: School Psychologist

Job Summary:
The School Psychologist is responsible for conducting psychological assessments, testing, and evaluations to identify students' educational needs and challenges. This role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure that students receive the appropriate services to succeed academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and testing to evaluate students’ cognitive, academic, and emotional needs.
  • Administer standardized tests and interpret results to help develop educational plans.
  • Provide recommendations for educational interventions, accommodations, and modifications based on testing results.
  • Collaborate with school teams to evaluate and monitor the progress of students with special needs or behavioral challenges.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized support plans.
  • Work with parents and teachers to discuss results and suggest strategies to improve student performance and well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools, methods, and procedures for educational testing.
