School Traffic Controller (CES/CPS)

Job Title: School Traffic Controller (CES/CPS)

Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a School Traffic Controller for CES/CPS. This part-time role is essential in ensuring the safety of students, parents, and staff during school arrival and dismissal times. The position requires managing traffic and assisting students with safe crossings during peak hours. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Morning Shift: 6:50 AM – 7:50 AM
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:25 PM – 3:15 PM

Compensation: $30 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage vehicle traffic near school entrances and exits during drop-off and pick-up times.
  • Assist students and parents with safely crossing streets.
  • Monitor traffic around school zones and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide clear communication to drivers and pedestrians regarding school traffic protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in busy, high-traffic situations.
  • Experience in traffic control or similar roles is an asset, but not required.
  • Knowledge of basic traffic safety procedures.
