Finance Director
The School Finance Director manages the financial operations of the school district, including budgeting, accounting, payroll, and compliance. This role ensures the district's finances are handled responsibly to support educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Budget Management:Create and oversee the district’s annual budget.Monitor spending and provide financial updates to the school board.
Accounting & Reporting: Ensure accurate financial records.Prepare financial reports and audits.
Payroll : Manage employee payroll. Ensure accurate and timely payments.
Grants & Funding: Oversee grants and ensure compliance with funding requirements. Report on grant usage and outcomes.
Purchasing & Contracts: Oversee purchasing to ensure compliance with policies.Negotiate contracts with vendors.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.Stay updated on changes in school finance policies.
Collaboration & Leadership:Work with administrators to address financial needs. Advise the school board on financial matters.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
5+ years of financial management experience (school or public sector preferred).
Strong skills in budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
