Position Summary
Commerce Middle School is seeking a passionate and student-centered 5th Grade Math and Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging classroom environment that supports academic growth, encourages critical thinking, and fosters strong relationships with students and families.
Qualifications
Valid Georgia teaching certification in Elementary Education or related field
Strong knowledge of Georgia Standards of Excellence for math and science
Ability to collaborate effectively with grade-level and school teams
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to meeting the needs of all learners
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging math and science instruction aligned to state standards
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to support student achievement
Create a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment
Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians
Collaborate with colleagues, intervention staff, and administrators to support student success
Integrate technology and hands-on learning opportunities into instruction
Participate in school events, professional learning, and district initiatives
Maintain accurate records and complete required reports in a timely manner
All other duties as assigned
