CHS Math Teacher
JOB DESCRIPTION: Mathematics Grades 9–12
Temporary Position: October 12 through the end of the semester with potential full-time opportunity in January for the ideal candidate

Commerce City Schools is seeking a qualified, dynamic, and passionate Mathematics teacher to serve at Commerce High School beginning October 12 through the end of the semester. Specific course assignments may vary based on student needs and scheduling and may include Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, or other mathematics courses.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid, clear renewable Georgia teaching certificate in the appropriate subject content area preferred. Teaching experience at the high school level is also preferred.

Building level administration
SALARY:
Based on applicable state and local schedules. Salary and work year to be determined by the Commerce City Schools Board of Education.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide instruction in assigned high school mathematics courses.
Use data, technology, and a variety of instructional strategies to plan and implement differentiated instruction for all students.
Deliver instruction aligned with district curriculum, state standards, and established instructional expectations.
Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional practices.
Use assessment data to provide remediation, intervention, and support for student mastery of mathematical concepts and skills.
Promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application of mathematical concepts.
Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance.
Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and productive classroom learning environment.
Collaborate with administrators, teachers, staff, students, and families as appropriate.
Participate in meetings, professional learning, and other school-related responsibilities as assigned.
Follow all school and district policies, procedures, and professional expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.
